Sandra Gayle (Earp) Crumm

Sandra Gayle (Earp) Crumm was born in Oney, OK on March 5 1947 to Lehawn and Arta Mae (Savage) Earp. Sandy died peacefully on May 2, 2024, in Chickasha, OK, at 77.

Sandra grew up on her family’s peanut farm west of Oney and attended Oney public schools. After graduation, she attended SWOSU in Weatherford, OK. On October 16, 1971, she married Vernon O. Crumm Jr. in Verden, Oklahoma. Sandy worked and lived south of Anadarko. She worked at the First State Bank in Anadarko.

She then later went to work in the Anadarko Public School System. After retiring from the public school system, Sandy became Caddo County Assessor. Sandy loved to play the piano at church and other functions and was still playing until a month ago when her health began to fail.

Sandra always loved music. She was a huge Elvis Presley and Patsy Cline fan. Sandra loved to cook for her family; a German chocolate cake and Mississippi mud brought back fond memories.

Sandy loved spending time in her community. Most days, you could find Sandy eating at the Soda Fountain Eatery. She was also a member of the Rotary Club and the First Christian Church in Anadarko. Sandy always loved attending her grandchildren’s activities, from showing cattle to softball and wrestling tournaments. She will be missed by all those who loved her.

Survivors include her son Tray Crumm and his wife Nikki of Anadarko, OK, her Granddaughter Elizabeth Crumm of Manhattan, KS, and Grandson Elijah Crumm of Anadarko. Her brother Lavon Earp and his wife Caroline of Oney, OK, as well as a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Sandy was preceded in Death by her parents, Lehawn and Arta Mae Earp, and her husband, Vernon Crumm, Jr.

Graveside Services were at the Albert Oney Cemetery in Albert, OK on May 6, 2024.
